We the People Hearings in Sauk Village
On May 13, 2009, 10 fifth grade classes from Strassburg School in Sauk Village participated in their Third Annual We the People Hearings. Judges, including school board members, retired teachers, and local businessmen were involved in the showcase. Many parents also attended. CLICK HERE to see the photos!


Waukegan Hearings - May, 2009
130 5th grade students representing 5 classrooms from Little Fort School in Waukegan participated in Congressional Hearings as part of the We the People: the Citizen & the Constitution study program. 25 students from Waukegan High School participated as mentors, time keepers, photographers, and judges, along with Paul Fredrick, teacher and coach of the We the People Constitution Team from Waukegan High School. U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, sent greeting to the participants through Shirley Jones of his office.
